MEET GAVIN
Kinesiologist & Tutor (DIP. TASK)
"I believe everyone deserves to heal, naturally."
Q: What did you do before becoming a Kinesiologist?
A: For nearly a decade, I worked as a fashion model for brands including Lanvin, Hugo Boss, True Religion, Fred Perry, Barbour, Uniqlo, and Jack & Jones and regularly featured in GQ magazine.
I lived and worked in London, New York, Tokyo, and Paris, and worked alongside public figures including Taylor Swift and Liam Gallagher.
While it was a period of success and travel, it also involved high-pressure environments and challenging life experiences, both professionally and personally. Over time, this shaped my understanding of stress, trauma, and the deeper factors that impact health—something that now informs my work with clients.
Q: How did you become one of the UK’s highest-trained Kinesiologists?
A: After modelling, I worked as a youth worker in London, supporting young people involved in gang-related activity.
During this time, I worked within the healthcare system, where support often focused on medication and managing symptoms. I began to see that the underlying causes of health issues often went deeper, and that the system had limitations in addressing them fully.
To expand my approach, I retrained with The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology, completing a Diploma and qualifying to teach Foundation and Practitioner courses. I have also trained with the Naturopathic Kinesiology Institute in Australia to expand my clinical knowledge and practice.
Q: What makes Kinesiology unique?
A: Kinesiology uses muscle testing to identify imbalances across emotional, biochemical, physical, and electromagnetic realms. It uncovers root causes—like repressed memories or nutritional deficiencies.
Q: How does muscle testing work?
A: Muscle testing is a technique that uses the body’s nervous system to assess how it responds to different forms of stress. It accesses the subconscious, which is 30,000 times more powerful than the conscious, if there is an imbalance in the area being tested, a "strong" muscle will go "weak." It provides precise insights, helping tailor treatments to each individual’s unique needs.
Q: Can you provide an example of Kinesiology’s holistic approach?
A: For instance, food sensitivities often involve emotional factors and nutrient deficiencies, while physical injuries carry emotional connections and require biochemical support, and emotional issues can be released energetically, without the need for talking. Kinesiology integrates these dimensions for comprehensive healing.
Q: Why choose Kinesiology over other therapies?
A: Kinesiology is deeply personal, addressing root causes across multiple dimensions for lasting results. It’s a transformative, precise and holistic approach to health.
